Marists of Champagnat
STAR OF THE SEA PROVINCE
OUR WORK
Our work is dedicated to education, social justice and supporting the vulnerable and poor.

The work of the Province includes education, social justice and supporting the vulnerable and the poor in the communities in which we are active. All Marist works bring together religious and lay and are built on the strong foundation of the charism and spirituality of our Founder, St Marcellin Champagnat.
What we do
Education
The Marists of Champagnat have a long tradition in education. Across the Star of the Sea Province we live our commitment each
day to bring the mission given by St Marcellin to make 'Jesus Christ known and loved' to young people. Schools have been a favoured arena for our apostolic work and over more than 200 years we have been educating, forming and caring for young people. You can read about the work we do across the 11 countries in our Province here. You can also read about the work of Marist Schools
Australia here.
Social Justice
The Star of the Sea Province is committed to social justice and addressing inequity in the countries and communities in which we
work. We support inclusion of diversity and recognise the value of each person.
Supporting the vulnerable and the poor
The mission inspired by our founder, St Marcellin Champagnat has at its core, a commitment to the vulnerable and the poor in our
communities. Find out what we are doing to support those who are marginalised through poverty and disadvantage including
through the work of Australian Marist Solidarity here.
