The Crisis
A devastating 7.8 magnitude earthquake has left thousands of families in southern Philippines facing unimaginable loss. Homes have been destroyed, communities displaced, and schools damaged - including our own Marist school, Notre Dame of Dadiangas University Elementary Department in General Santos City.
We are calling on the Marist family, our schools, communities and supporters to stand in solidarity with those affected. Your donation will provide urgent assistance and help rebuild homes, schools and communities as families begin the long journey towards recovery.

Our Response: Marist Help
The earthquake has caused widespread destruction across General Santos City and the neighbouring municipalities of Malapatan and Glan in Sarangani Province.
Thousands of families have been forced from their homes, with many now living in evacuation centres, temporary shelters and makeshift structures. Children are sleeping under tarpaulins, while families struggle to access food, clean water, shelter and basic necessities.
For many, the earthquake has taken away not only their homes but also their livelihoods and sense of security.
In the true spirit of Marist fraternity and compassion, the Marist Brothers East Asia Province – Philippine Sector has launched Marist Help, a dedicated Earthquake Relief Operation Project.
A Call to Marist Solidarity
The earthquake severely damaged Notre Dame of Dadiangas University Elementary Department, leaving classrooms and facilities unsafe for students and teachers.
Spaces that once welcomed children every day are now awaiting assessment, repair and rebuilding. Restoring these learning environments is vital so students can safely return to their education and continue to thrive.
