Congratulations to Br Harry Prout from Melbourne, who was recently honoured with a Paul Harris Fellow award at his local Rotary Club's Presidential Changeover Dinner.
Named after Paul Harris, the founder of Rotary International, the Paul Harris Fellow is one of Rotary's highest recognitions. It is presented to members and honorary members who have made a significant contribution to Rotary's work and its mission of fostering goodwill and understanding. The citation accompanying the award reads:
"In appreciation of tangible and significant assistance given for the furtherance of better understanding and friendly relations among peoples of the world."

Br Harry received the recognition for his longstanding partnership with the Rotary Club, particularly through its support of Exodus Community, a ministry that has been serving people experiencing homelessness and disadvantage in Heidelberg West, Melbourne since the early 2000s.

Over the years, Exodus has become a place of hope and support. Its outreach includes a weekly community meal, youth outreach initiatives, advocacy for those experiencing hardship, and a range of programs that accompany people dignity and respect. Throughout this work, the Rotary Club has been a generous and valued partner, supporting a number of Exodus initiatives.
Reflecting on the honour, Br Harry was quick to acknowledge that the award belongs to the wider Exodus community and not just him. "This is really an Exodus award, not a personal one," he said.
